In loving memory of Carolyn R. Porter, who peacefully passed away on August 24, 2023, we celebrate the remarkable life of a cherished Wife, Mom, Grandma, and Great Grandmother. Carolyn’s presence in the lives of her loved ones brought immeasurable joy and warmth, leaving an indelible mark on each generation she touched.She was the daughter of the late Gennaro and Rose Roppo. Surviving is her husband of 55 years, Paul Porter, her children, Jerry (Lucy) Porter, Michael (Glenn) Porter, Sandra Porter, Christopher Roppo-Porter, Jonpaul Porter, Carrie Porter, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
Carolyn’s beauty radiated not only from her outward appearance but also from the depths of her soul. Her genuine kindness and caring nature were evident in every interaction she had with others. She possessed a rare ability to make everyone around her feel seen, heard, and loved. Through her unwavering support, Carolyn nurtured her family, guiding them through life’s challenges and celebrating their successes.
As a devoted mother, Carolyn raised six children with boundless love and dedication. Her role as a mother extended far beyond providing for their physical needs; she instilled in them a strong moral compass, teaching them the importance of compassion, empathy and faith. Carolyn's legacy continues to shine brightly through her children, who carry her values and teachings forward in their own lives.
Carolyn’s impact extended beyond her immediate family, as she embraced the role of Grandma and Great Grandmother with open arms. Her twenty grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild were the source of immense pride and joy. Carolyn reveled in the laughter, stories, and love shared during family gatherings, creating cherished memories that will be treasured for generations to come.
In addition to her dedication to her family, Carolyn found purpose and fulfillment in her work in the field of prolife and Christian ministries Her unwavering commitment to the sanctity of life and her faith guided her every step. Carolyn’s tireless efforts in these areas touched the lives of countless individuals, offering them hope, compassion, and support during challenging times.
