Catherine (Kate) Benamati age 88 of Ambridge passed away on Monday June 13, 2022, she went to be with the Lord, at Allegheny General Hospital after suffering a fall on May 20th.
Kate was born in Walkertown, PA to the late John and Elizabeth (Baker) Cullen on July 17, 1933. She graduated Cecil Township High School in Class of 1951. She was a member of the bowling league Alley Katz and held every office available, Circle of Friends and Glenwillard Boat Club for 51 years and was the treasurer. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family, playing cards and Bingo with her friend Carol Tabin from the Circle of Friends, and traveling. Kate was proceeded in death by her parents, her loving husband Angelo C Benamati Sr of 37 years, Brothers Richard, Bernie, Don, Lloyd and David Cullen, Sister Edith Cullen, and daughter Cathy Seeman. She is survived by her children Sharon Benamati (Oklahoma city, OK, Connie Fry (Bob) (Steamboat Springs, CO), Rene Benamati, with whom she lived with (Ambridge, PA), Ed Benamati (Steamboat Springs, CO) and Angelo C Benamati JR (Sheryl) (Ambridge, PA). Her 9 grandkids, 11 great grandkids and 1 great great granddaughter. Her sister and brothers, Glady Gladden (Phoenix, AZ), John Cullen (Salone, AZ) and Mike Cullen (Fayetteville, NC). Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 16, 2022, from 3 pm until time of service at 7pm in the Kasper Chapel of Alvarez-Hahn Funeral Services and Cremation, LLC. ,547 8th St Ambridge, 724-266-2549.
