Christopher Weidman Obituary

Christopher Weidman, a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend passed away at the young age of 30 on July 11, 2024.  Originally from Little Silver, New Jersey, Christopher was currently living in Rochester, PA. Never one to sit behind an office desk, he played his craft outside in all types of weather as a stone cutter and landscape architect at Vance's Landscape Supply Inc. in Beaver Falls, PA.   Christopher was a magnet for every person he ever met, he constantly cast his net out wherever he was, catching and pulling people into his orbit with his infectious personality. He gave himself freely to all, without discrimination. He was so easy to love because of the gifts he bestowed on others - be it a helping hand, a conversation that made you feel as if you were his best friend, and constant good-natured ribbing always delivered in combination with care and empathy.  He was able to connect instantly with everyone, quickly understanding who you were, and every interaction was uniquely personal.  He was fiercely loyal to his two brothers, as well as his parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles. cousins and friends. He stuck by and never gave up on anyone. Growing up on the Jersey Shore was an adventure for Christopher, be it the ocean, sports, music. The front door of his home was always revolving as he ran out the house to be with his friends, or dragged them back to our home. Material things meant nothing to him, it was people that fed his life. Christopher's quick wit, kind heart and adventurous spirit touched everyone he met. He was known for his ability to light up a room and gather many to willingly embark on new adventures. As he grew into adulthood, he stood strong with his mental health and addiction battles. It spares no one - we as family and friends rode his rollercoaster through it all with him. Christopher is survived and deeply missed by his loving parents, Marie and Todd Weidman as well as his brothers Brandon and Matthew Weidman. He also leaves behind his paternal grandmother, Gisela Weidman, and her partner Peter Matturo, his uncle Teddy and his cousins TJ and Hunter, his uncle Gil and cousins Stephen and Susan, his aunt Stephanie and uncle Mark and cousins Chelsea, Rob and Ryan and his aunt Heather and uncle Mark. He also leaves behind two special loving aunts Terry and Patti. Christopher was predeceased by his maternal grandparents Marie and Gil (Red) Bernhard and his paternal grandfather, Donald Weidman. Christopher's legacy of laughter, kindness, and love for life will continue to inspire all who knew him. As we bid farewell to our beloved Christopher, let us carry forward the light he brought into our lives.
