Daniel “Danny” R. Dreyer, 79, of Economy, passed away on July 16, 2026. He was the beloved son of the late William and Dorothy Dreyer.
Danny is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Nancy (Dunn) Dreyer; his three sons, Danny L. (Angela) Dreyer, Sean Dreyer, and Chris (Stephanie) Dreyer; his cherished grandchildren, Ethan, Alexis, Lexi, and Kylie; his sisters-in-law, Donna (Charles), Linda (Dennis), and Cindy (Bob); as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
A 1965 graduate of Ambridge High School, Danny proudly served his country in the United States Air Force as a medical evacuation (Medevac) specialist. Following his military service, he enjoyed a successful career as a Design Engineer with Arco Chemical, where he remained until his retirement.
Danny was an active member of the Road Saints of Ambridge and American Legion Post 641 in Baden. A true car enthusiast, he found great joy in restoring and repairing automobiles alongside his sons and friends. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need of automotive advice or assistance. Whether attending car shows and cruises or spending time in the garage, Danny's passion for cars was matched only by his love for his family. He especially treasured the time he shared with his grandchildren, creating memories they will forever hold close.
Family and friends will be received on Monday, July 20, 2026, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and from 5:00 p.m. until the Blessing Service at 7:00 p.m. at Alvarez-Hahn Funeral Services and Cremation, LLC, 547 Eighth Street, Ambridge. An American Legion Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., followed by Military Honors at 2:30 p.m. Private burial will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorial donations be made in Danny's memory to the Sisters of St. Joseph, Baden.
