Darrell "Hoopie" Curry

Darrell “Hoopie” Curry, 86, of South Heights, passed away peacefully on May 13,2024. He was the son of the late Otis and Ida Curry.

In addition, to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Curry, siblings, Frank, Rex, and Erma Jean.

Darrell was a passionate Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and golfing. He was a devoted family man and will be missed dearly by all that knew and loved him.

Surviving are his daughters, Kem (Mark) Greenwell, Kathy (Matt) Thompson, Christine (Mike) New, eight grandchildren, Olivia, Cassandra, Catherine, Courtney, Molly, Connor, Megan, Abby, one great granddaughter, Georgia, and all his friends at Georges Family Restaurant in Hopewell.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, June 2, 2024, from 3-5 PM in the Alvarez-Hahn Funeral Services and Cremation, LLC, 547 8th Street, Ambridge, 724.266.2549.
