David Pinkosky Obituary

70, Economy Borough, passed away on May 3, 2022, at Concordia at Villa St. Joseph, with family and CVSJ staff at his side. David was born on September 30, 1951, to the late Albert and Dorothy Wagner Pinkosky and was a member of Good Samaritan Parish, Ambridge. If you knew David, you knew his warm smile, and his willingness to always pitch in to help. He enjoyed Sunday rides, golfing, gardening, his pets Ginger and Pinkie, and just sitting on the back porch watching the farmer plow the field and taking in the scenery. He was kind, gentle, devoted, giving, honest, loving, caring and more. It was always about family and friends who became family. He was proud of his marriage, being an Eagle Scout, being part of the Master Gardener program, being a Confirmation sponsor to Tim, being a Godfather to Kacie and Isabella, being a member of the St. Vincent DePaul Society, being a 20-year volunteer at Villa St. Joseph and working the church festival. David was a 1969 graduate of Quigley Catholic High School. Received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Human Relations from Salem College, Salem, WV and his Masters Degree in Parks and Recreation from Indiana University, Bloomington, IN.

David took many paths in his career. From running camps with the Boy Scouts of America in Cincinnati, to California to do construction, back home to Ambridge to open a Floral Shop to working warehouse jobs. To finally in his retirement, working at Walmart in the seasonal department which he truly enjoyed. David is survived by his wife of 36 years, Carol. His sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Ernie Rotolo, Monaca. His brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Joe and Marie Drewnowski, Baytown, TX and Bob and Marilyn Drewnowski, Chippewa Township. His niece, Jessica Thomas, Baytown, TX. His nephews, Joe (Elizabeth) Drewnowski, San Antonio, TX, Matt (Stephanie) Drewnowski, Papillion, NE, and Dan Drewnowski, Chippewa Township. His great-nephews, Jacob Drewnowski and Austin and Anthony Thomas. His great-niece, Lorelei Drewnowski. And many cousins and friends.

I would like to thank the Ebensburg and Carondelet Units and the Activity Department of Concordia at Villa St. Joseph, and the Good Samaritan Hospice Staff for the exceptional care they gave David.
