Dorothy M. (Clay) Rhawn

Mrs. Dorothy M. (Clay) Rhawn, 93, of Ambridge (formerly of Lilly, PA), passed away on September 19, 2024. Born on June 15, 1931, in Gallitzin, PA, she was the daughter of Stanley and Ruth Clay. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, George F. Rhawn; her son, Martin; her daughter, Bernadette; her sisters, Theresa and Rosella; and her brother, Stanley. She is survived by her sons, Dennis (MaryAnn) Rhawn, Phillips (Karen Walker) Rhawn, and Christopher (Anita) Rhawn; her daughters, Mary “Debbie” Ortiz and Linda (Tom) Reinart; and her sisters, Ruth, Martha, Sylvia, Patty, Claudia, MaryAnn, and Peggy. Dorothy also leaves behind 8 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and great nephews.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, from 9 to 11 AM at Alvarez-Hahn Funeral Services and Cremation, LLC, located at 547 8th Street, Ambridge (724-266-2549). A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:30 AM at Saint Luke/Good Sarmatian Church, 725 Glenwood Avenue, Ambridge. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the nurses and nursing assistants from Gallagher Hospice for the exceptional care provided to Dorothy. Your kindness was deeply appreciated!
