Edward Schneider Obituary

Did you know Ed?

Well, Edward James Schneider was a great man, and if you knew him, you knew that. If you didn't know Ed, you didn't. Ed passed away on August 16, 2024. Yep, the same day Elvis died. He had gotten very sick suddenly and held on just long enough so he could share the day with The King. He loved Elvis. Now he is in Heaven with him, both his and Lynn's parents and Cassidy's mom,Dana. Ed left behind his wife of 53 years, Lynn, to figure out where his important papers are. She found all of his hidden snacks but not the code to his phone so she could tell his friends that he's gone to golf with God. He also left behind his 2 sons, Tim and Ed, to mow his lawn, Rachell, his favorite daughter in law, and grandkids, Eddie, Paige, Cassidy, Ava, Alliha, Ellie, and also his dog, Zoey, who he loved more than anything, except golf. He REALLY loved golf. And watching the same 5 movies on TV all the time. Especially Jersey Boys and Crybaby. The man, the myth,  the legend either taught you how to play baseball or taught you how to shut the {bleep} up. And he always had a secret stash of cheeseburgers in his pocket just in case someone got hungry. He was a Navy veteran, a true patriot who wanted to make America great again one cheeseburger at a time. An Ed of all trades, a steel mill worker, auto mechanic and truck driver, the hardest working man ever that was a true fan of Pittsburgh sports especially the Steelers of the 70s, when they were a real team. Ed was one of many Eds in the Schneider family, but this Ed was the best. The best son, the best husband (most of the time) the best dad, the best pop pop, even the best pain in the ass with all his jokes. He was also the best turkey carver, so the family will have to cancel Thanksgiving all because Ed just had to go and pass away the other day. So, please pray for his family. They're really not sure how to go on without Ed telling them how do to things they already know how to do. He will definitely be missed by his family, who loved him very much, especially his dog, Zoey.
The viewing and the funeral are private as the family has to have a talk with Ed about some things. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Humane Society in Ed's name.
