Obituary
Franz R. (Frank) Giska, 62, of Rochester formerly of Conway, passed away peacefully after an extended illness on May 4, 2023. He was preceded in death by his father Kenneth J. Giska, maternal grandparents Franz and Maria Seidel, Germany, paternal grandparents John and Susan Giska. He is survived by his loving mother Walpurga (Valerie) Giska, brother of Ronald Giska, both from Rochester, Debbie (Gary “Pork”) Rose, Mayor of Conway, Uncle of Kenneth and Ashley Rose, Conway. Survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Frank supported, loved, and was always proud of his niece and nephew, Ashley and Kenny. They were his world. Frank was a 1979 Freedom High School Graduate. He loved and enjoyed hockey, boating, sports, sitting on his back porch, and in his day having a good time. He was an amazing carpenter and could design and manipulate anything. Frank never shied away from a good debate or argument. Franz Rene you will be forever in our hearts and will be truly missed and loved forever. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, May 14th from 3PM-6PM at the Croatian Fraternal Union Club, 1412 Second Ave, Conway PA 15027.
