Henrietta Catanzarite

FORMERLY OF AMBRIDGE - 100, was born on September 27, 1921, in Pittsburgh and died July 19, 2022. She was the daughter of the late Frank Baranowski and Mary Zulka Baranowski. She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Catanzarite, whom she married on June 4, 1950, sister,
Alberta Mion, brothers, Walter Baranowski, Harry Baranowski, Theodore Baranowski, and Larry Baranowski. She was employed at the Sewickley Holiday Inn until she retired in 1990 to take care of her granddaughter, Lindsay. She then took up sewing and alterations for many people in the Ambridge Area. She will always be remembered for her great cooking, especially at Christmas when the family would always gather for dinner. Henrietta loved dancing, she and her husband would go quite frequently and were excellent dancers. She would eventually continue to go dancing until her knees told her she could not dance anymore. She will be sadly missed by her daughter and son-in-law, Caryn and Gary Hoffmann, with whom she resided with, her son and daughter-in-law, Russell and Debra Catanzarite of Brighton Township, her son and daughter-in-law, David and Evie Catanzarite of Economy Borough, and her son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Deborah Catanzarite of Ohio Township. Also surviving are her six grandchildren, Cailyn Catanzarite, Rusty Catanzarite, Taylor Catanzarite,
Lindsay Catanzarite Harkins, Matthew Catanzarite and Tracy Catanzarite, great grandchildren Anna Lyden and Isabella Delauder and numerous nieces and nephews. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, July 22, 2002, at 11 am at Good Samaritan Parish, Ambridge. Interment will follow at Economy Cemetery.
