Janet Leigh Gaus

Janet Leigh Gaus, 44, of Ambridge, passed away on September 16, 2023. She was the daughter of Elma Stewart and the late Herbert Gaus, and significant other to the late Louis Sakony. She was the loving mother of Brenda “Fernando” Castillo, Dana Gaus, Nicolette David, Steven Sakony, Christopher Sakony, Michael Sakony, John Sakony, Mary Sakony, and Kyle Sakony. Grandmother of Raelyn Flores, Reyna Flores, Alexander Lima, Adrian Lima, and many brothers and sisters.

Janet was a very loving, caring, and proud mother, who cherished each and every moment spent with her children. She loved to feed and care for all animals, especially her two pets. She was the type of person that would give the shirt off her back if someone needed it. Janet lost her significant other to a courageous battle with cancer. She also fought a battle with cancer herself, but always remained strong with her faith. She will be remembered as a loving and passionate woman.

Friends and family will be received from 12PM-4PM on Friday September 22, 2023 in the Alvarez-Hahn Funeral Services and Cremation LLC, 547 8th St, Ambridge, 724-266-2549. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 4PM.  The family requests memorial contributions be made to the funeral home.
