Sandy Kozak, 87, of Conway, peacefully passed away to be with her Lord and Savior on March 9, 2025. She was the daughter of the late Clifford and Elvie Scheib. Sandy was preceded in death by her brother, Dennis Scheib, and her sister, Gale Bogolea.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 66 years, Richard Kozak Sr.; her children, Kathy (Ron) Coder and Richard (Betsy) Kozak Jr.; her sister-in-law, Carole Scheib; her brother-in- law, Randy Bogolea; as well as niece, Denise (Chester) Green; nephew DC ( Brenda) Scheib; and great niece, Molly Green; and great nephews, Spencer Green, Corey, Jayden, and Trevor Scheib.
Sandy was a faithful member of Fellowship Baptist Church of Economy. She enjoyed cooking, canning, and tending to her garden. She loved to watch and cheer for the Pittsburgh Steelers. The last two years, she was affectionately known as the "Mayor" at Franciscan Manor, where she was very active, and formed many lasting friendships.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 13, 2025, from 3-7 PM at Alvarez-Hahn Funeral Services and Cremation, LLC, located at 547 8th Street, Ambridge. An additional visitation will take place on Friday, March 14, 2025, from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM the time of the funeral service at the funeral home. Burial will be private. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Franciscan Manor, Laura Blackston, the CCU nurses at Heritage Valley Beaver Medical Center, and all her neighbors on Cottage Avenue for their love, support, and care over the years
