Sharon Anne Guerrieri, Economy, passed peacefully on December 6, 2023. She was the eldest daughter of the late Rudolph V. Guerrieri and Shirley A. Kennedy Guerrieri. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Suzan A. Guerrieri Springer. She is survived by two brothers, Rudolph Guerrieri and Richard (Renee) Guerrieri, and her brother-in-law, Robert Springer, nephews, Brandon and Kevin Guerrieri, and niece, Samantha Springer.
Sharon attended Economy Elementary School, Baden-Economy Junior High School and graduated from Ambridge Area High School. She graduated from Geneva College with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Bachelor of Arts in English. While at Geneva she worked in the Computer Center and in the Public Relations Department. As most folks in Beaver County, she also worked at J. C. Penny at Northern Lights Shopping Center. During her senior year at Geneva, she served as President of the Women’s Student Association which sponsored the majority of campus activities. Sharon was always serving in community organizations She served on the Board of Directors of The American Cancer Society – Beaver Unit. She also served as an Officer of The Ambridge Chamber of Commerce. She chaired the Nationality Days Festival for two years. Sharon served on the Board of Directors of New Alliance Federal Credit Union during which time she was Secretary and then President. Sharon was the first female member of Fair Oaks VFD in Leet Township, serving as an Administrative Officer as Secretary and then President. As the General Manager of R & S Enterprises Printing, she helped to expand the retail arm of the family business which her parents founded in 1969. After the retirement of her parents, she and her brother Rudy incorporated R & S to become R & S Enterprises Printing Incorporated. Through her leadership R & S became a national leader in the wedding industry ranking in the top 10 in the country for many years, she was consulted about new styles and designs by the number one wedding company in the nation. Sharon was very happy working at the store with her nephew Brandon Guerrieri and niece Samantha Springer, they helped her to handle the daily operations of R & S during her extended battle against cancer. Sharon battled stage four colon cancer for 10+ years, never one to give up she fought to the end. She was an active member of the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Visitation will be on Monday, December 11, 2023, from 3-7 PM in the Alvarez-Hahn Funeral Services and Cremation, LLC., 547 8th Street, Ambridge, 724-266-2549. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, New Sewickley Twp.
