Our family is forever grateful to Dave and the entire team for the love, compassion, and care they showed us during one of the hardest times of our lives. Dave is an old family friend, and having him there brought an incredible sense of comfort and peace when we needed it most. He treated my brother, Denny, with the utmost dignity and respect, and helped create a beautiful, heartfelt service that truly honored who he was. Every detail was handled with such thoughtfulness, and we felt genuinely supported and cared for throughout the entire process. Dave Alvarez was very compassionate and helpful with my father’s funeral arrangements. It wasn’t like dealing with some big conglomerate funeral home corporation. He gave us excellent personal service, and he always answered our calls and emails immediately. He followed my father’s wishes and never pressured us to spend more than we felt comfortable with. He gave us a reasonable up-front price and honored it. Dave took care of everything, including making the church arrangements, and setting up the military honors and burial in the National Cemetery (which saved our family quite a bit of money). The funeral home has a nice room for meals, but we needed a place closer to the cemetery for the lunch after the funeral. So, Dave made phone calls to try to help us find an appropriate venue at the last minute. We wouldn’t hesitate to use Alvarez-Hahn Funeral Services and Cremation in the future.

My father passed in March and Dave treated us like family. He was knowledgeable, kind, and compassionate, as he guided us through the process. He was attentive to my mother and made a difficult time bearable. We had previously entrusted Dave with my brother’s sudden death in 2016 and he handled it with the utmost care and we are eternally grateful.

Dave is a true credit to his profession. After my father’s passing, he deftly guided our family through the necessary steps to honor both of my parents’ wishes. He is kind, understanding, and compassionate, and readily available to answer any questions. He treated my father like his own family member, and to us, there is no higher honor. This is the second time we’ve entrusted him with a deceased loved one. When my brother suddenly passed in 2016, he delicately handled all matters that allowed us to put him to rest. When I lost my mom a few weeks ago I was in such disarray. Dave was so kind and compassionate thru the whole process. He handled everything, even things I didn't think of. I highly recommend him. Such a wonderful person.

My father died suddenly in November. We needed a cremation fast. Alvarez Hahn was so reasonably priced I was not expecting much. James and Dave treated us like family. We were very comfortable with them as they took care of everything. Highly recommend.
