Funeral Director/Owner
Hello, my name is David M. Alvarez. I grew up in
Economy Borough and graduated from Ambridge Area High School in 1995. I then
attended the Community College of Beaver County, where I earned an Associate
Degree in Police Technology. I joined the Baden Borough Police Department in
1998 and served for 25 years retiring as a sergeant in December 2021. I'm an
active member of Ambridge Rotary Post 7305, Doric Masonic Lodge
630, and Pennsylvania Funeral Directors Association.
From a young age, I was drawn to the compassion and
care that funeral directors provide to grieving families. This inspired me to
enroll at the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science, from which I graduated
in 2008. In January 2021, I purchased Kasper-Hahn Funeral and Cremation
Services, Inc. (formerly Kasper Funeral Home). My lifelong goal is to offer
families the care, respect, and personalized service they deserve.
Funeral Director/Supervisor
Hello, my name is James D. Hahn. I graduated from
Avalon High School and went on to study at Robert Morris College and the
Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science, graduating in 1975. In 2007, I
purchased the Kasper Funeral Home after the passing of longtime owner Walter R.
Kasper, and I have proudly served the Ambridge Area for over 15 years.
I have held various leadership roles, including five
terms as president of the Allegheny County Funeral Directors Association, two
terms as president of the Beaver County Funeral Directors Association, and past
president of the Pennsylvania Funeral Directors Association. I also served on
the NFDA policy board and was the past District Governor of Rotary Post 7305.
I currently live in Ross Township with my wife,
Marlene. Together, we have four children and 16 grandchildren.
Funeral Director
Hello, my name is Autumn Rovnyak and I am a licensed funeral director. Originally from Youngstown, Ohio, I
relocated to Baden in 2021 with my husband to attend the Pittsburgh Institute
of Mortuary Science. I graduated in August 2024 with an Associates Degree in
Specialized Business, earning Magna Cum Laude honors. My passion lies in
serving families with compassion, dignity, and genuine care during some of the
most difficult moments in their lives. I believe that every life deserves to be
honored with respect and personal attention, and my goal is to guide families
through the funeral process with clarity, empathy, and professionalism. I
strive to create meaningful, personalized services that reflect each
individuals story and legacy. In this profession, I aim to be a source of
comfort and support, helping families feel seen, heard, and cared for from the
moment they walk through the door.
